Intro to Game Dev with Unity

Led byJamie Curran

March 2, 2021 - April 27, 2021

Hey you! Do you like games? Do you like learning about how they’re made? Maybe you’re the type to stay up watching the game awards, or maybe you’re the type of person who YouTube has decided to recommend a Game Maker’s Toolkit video for the thirtieth time this week. No matter what your interest in games in general, learning a new skill in a fun way has always been something us human-folk have been drawn towards.

The layout of this course will have you diving in to one of the most popular and user-friendly game-engines on the market: Unity! Having been used to make hit games like Overcooked, it’s definitely nothing to sneeze at!

In this course, we’ll be going through how to use the Unity Game Engine itself as well as a bit of scripting using C# and Unity’s native libraries.

By the end of this course you will have made a game you can show off to your friends, your parents, your colleagues, your dog, and whoever else you want to share your creativity with.
